New York city or the big apple is a great vacation destination. The city that never sleeps certainly lives up to its name and reputation. The scale is staggering with a population of over 8 million people and millions more tourists each year. In many peoples eyes the world revolves around New York because of Wall Street, The United Nations and the huge range of people from all over the world who call it their home.
For a tourist the choice is enormous. From great food to great museums, theatres, parks, shops New York has the lot and it would take a lifetime to fully explore. Planning your stay will most definitely help you make the most of your trip
New York Hotels
For a tourist, hotels can be a problem. Not in New York. Your choice is huge and covers the whole market from cheap and cheerful to almost unimaginable luxury. For the arty among us head to Greenwich Village and Soho. If you’re on business then the downtown area round Wall Street is perfect. If you want comfort and all the best things in life you are spoilt for choice. From the Waldorf to the Hilton or Four seasons you won’t regret a minute of your stay.
Eating Out
No matter what you want, you will find it in New York. From great breakfasts in corner deli’s to fine dining in upscale restaurants and everything in between. Your only problem will be deciding where to go.
The Nightlife
As you would expect from the city that never sleeps the nightlife is excellent. You can spot he stars or concentrate on having a great time at a huge range of clubs and bars.
Sightseeing
The number of things to see and do in the big apple is stupendous. Where should you start? Why not begin with the empire state building, as the view from the top is truly awesome, especially on a clear day.
Take the Staten Island ferry and see the Statue of liberty for free. Or take the ferry to the statue itself and see it close up.
Central Park is a definite must do, especially at the weekend when it full and bustling. For romance try the horse and carriage ride. It’s a bit cheesy but, hey, it’s your vacation.
Whatever you do just enjoy the whole experience and have fun.
